Kevin Byrnes R.I.P. (NYFD)

The Firemen that were here in 2001 have lost another brother.

Fire Chief Kevin Byrnes and his wife Ann visited WA along with 5 other members of the NYFD. Kevin suffered a major heart attact on Wed the 4th of February and passed away.

Those who would like to send a message to the family even though they did not know them, but would like to express their sympathy, I think Ann would be grateful that the people of Western Australia are thinking of them.

They loved this country so much in the short time they were here.

If anyone would like to express their condolences, please forward an email to EZRIDER38@aol.com

Montana Bar & Grill

Hey Everyone,

I recently met a new homeboy named Lyle. He's the Food & Beverage Manager at the Aarons Hotel in Perth. But more importantly he's from Montana, and runs a restaurant also named "Montana Bar & Grill" in the hotel. Awesome !!! Rather than me trying to explain it all, let Lyle do it himself ...

Hi,

Thanks for the opportunity to promote Montana Bar & Grill with your group. Montana Bar & Grill is located in the Aaron's Hotel Perth, corner of Pier and Murray Streets in the city. We are across from Miss Maud's and kitty corner from Perth City Parking on Pier Street.

Montana's offers a diverse menu with a few surprises. We are probably the only restaurant in Australia to have an authentic Chicken Fried Steak!. Our Signature Dish is our Prawns Margarite: Prawns marinated in Lime juice, flamed with Tequila and served in a coriander cream with Hot Citrus Sprinkles.

Montana's is open from 6:30am for Breakfast, 11:30 -2:30 for Lunch and from 5:30 for Dinner. Montana's is fully licensed and is one of a select handful that has Award winning Feral Beer on tap.

Montana Bar & Grill will give a 10% discount on all food purchases (alcohol & drinks excepted) to all members of USAUS and AWC.

Our new menu is being assembled now and will include Fajitas, corn bread, and a few other surprises.

Kind regards
Lyle Barker

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome back everyone. I hope you all had (or are still having) a nice break from your normal routine. For me, its back to work on Monday ... BOO HOO! Oh well, I did enjoy the last couple of weeks holidaying with friends.

I have moved all of the 2003 information into the archive link below. You can still view it there, as well as the other past years.

Hopefully this year we'll put the softball team back together too. I've already mentioned it to some other social clubs who are keen to have a game ... including the W.A. State softball team ... ok, so we'll get slaughtered, whats new about that !?!?

Keep an eye on the web site for some regular updates.

More later,
Paul
